Who We Are

Myanmar Cardiac Society, formerly known as Cardiac Society, Myanmar Medical Association, is a local independent non-profitable organization aiming to conduct educational activities and to promote public awareness of cardiovascular diseases.

Myanmar Cardiac Society came into existence in 9th July, 2000 year when Dr. Aung was the founder.

The Society is organized with Cardiologists, Cardiovascular Surgeons, Paediatric Cardiologists, Cardiac Anesthetists and fellows and counted over 204 members from different institutions in Myanmar.

Local activities of the Society include Basic Cardiac Training course for junior doctors (including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Basic ECG course), scientific talks and symposiums, public education and involvement in national survey of non-communicable diseases.

 The society also works in collaboration with other international societies like World Heart Federation (WHF), Asean Federation of Cardiology (AFC), Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC), Asia Pacific Hearth Rhythm Society (APHRS).

 The members of the Society are conducting educational activities and training programmes in Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia.

  We are working at our utmost effort to promote excellence and advancement in the field of Cardiology.
